Giovani Francois has more than salvaged his senior year of high school football.
Forced to move to Maryland after the Manatee County School board would not allow him to finish his senior year at Southeast because of a legal that was subsequently thrown out of court, the defensive linemen has excelled in what has been a shortened season.
Francois was selected to two post season All-Star teams where he stood out and is being heavily recruited by many major college programs in the country.
The 6-3, 230 pound lineman has received offers from Louisville, Temple, FIU and Western Kentucky. But there are many more showing interest, including Florida, USF, Cincinnati, Maryland, Michigan State, Mississippi State and Northwestern.
Francois played five games for Wise High in Maryland. He finished with 32 tackles seven sacks and three forced fumbles, which got him selected to two post season All-Star games; the Crab Bowl and the inaugural Chesapeake Bowl where he was described as a sack artist.
In the Crab Bowl, Francois was chosen as the Best Pass Rusher as he finished with two sacks and three tackles for losses in the game. He is being projected as a defensive end or outside linebacker at the next level.
