Colleges starting push to get Southeast's Poole

If anyone needed convincing that Brian Poole is going to be the most sought after football player from Manatee County next season all they had to do was stop by Southeast High this week.

Though college football coaches are for the most part trying to secure their verbal recruits for national signing day on February 3d, the push is on for the class of 2012 and Poole is getting some serious attention.

Head coaches Skip Holtz from USF and Greg Schiano from Rutgers came to talk about Poole along with Alabama offensive coordinator Jim McElwain.

It’s not certain whether Poole will play defense or offense in college, but it doesn’t matter to the coaches. He is so talented they just want him.

Poole is a multifaceted individual who be a shut down corner or running back with all the skills you could want out of a person who plays that position.

The junior says he prefers to play defensive back in college and right now isn’t leaning towards any particular school. Once signing day passes he will be one of the hottest commodities in the country.
