Jonathan Griffin has gone on a tear for the University of Central Florida baseball team and is currently tied for sixth nationally in NCAA Division I baseball with nine homers. Besides topping the Knights in home runs, the former Lakewood Ranch/State College of Florida standout is tied for the team lead in hits (46) third with a .326 batting average and is among the leaders in RBIs (28) and doubles (9).
Griffin recently homered in four straight games to become the first UCF player to do that since 2005 and now has 22 homers since he joined the baseball program as a junior in 2010.
