Mistral Raymond earns Big East Conference honors
Mistral Raymond began his career at USF as a walk-on spending his first season working on the scout team with little hope of getting any playing time.
The Palmetto High graduate worked hard and showed arguably the most improvement of any player on the Bulls over the last four years.
A defensive back, who was equally adept at cornerback and safety, Raymond reaped the rewards of his efforts this week when he earned Big East Conference second team honors
Raymond was also a proven leader and was named one of the team captains this season. After making the switch from safety to corner early in fall camp, Raymond was fifth on the team with 52 tackles, four tackles for losses and a team-high seven pass breakups.
